iPhone X Repairs Johnstone
The iPhone 10 (or iPhone X to give it its proper title) was announced at the September 2017 launch event, which was held at the custom-built Steve Jobs Theater at Apple HQ. The iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus were launched at the same time, but the iPhone X was scheduled for release 2 months later than the other two handsets. The announcement finally ended the speculation, which had been rife for some time, that the iPhone X would be called the iPhone 10, as it was to be the 10th anniversary iPhone model. The ‘X’ (the Roman numeral for 10) was finally released in November 2017 with all the usual press coverage of crowds waiting to collect their prized iPhone.

Boasting a glass back as well as a glass front, which enabled wireless charging, and a steel joining strip, the iPhone X, was the flagship iPhone model in the range, and demonstrated many exciting innovations to justify its £1,000 price tag – the highest for an iPhone to date. The 5.8” Super Retina HD Display complete with True Tone technology, Face ID facial recognition system, Animojis (animated emojis) and infra-red camera were only a few of the new features. The first iPhone to hit the £1,000 cost certainly didn’t disappoint.
